EAEU improves conditions for farmers
The document creates conditions for agricultural producers from Kazakhstan to receive a loan secured by a WHR in the countries of the Eurasian "five", as well as to sell their products remotely through the sale of WHRs.
In addition, market participants will have access to information on the warehouse infrastructure available in the EAEU countries, including information on the name, type, capacity, storage volume and location of the warehouse.
On their territory, the partner countries will ensure control over the compliance of warehouses with the rules for the release (issuance) and cancellation of warehouse certificates, rules for the storage of agricultural products, safety requirements and for the maintenance of quantitative and qualitative accounting of agricultural products.
In general, the implementation of the Agreement will contribute to the promotion of Kazakh agricultural products to the markets of the EAEU member states, which in turn will have a positive impact on the development of the country's agriculture.
The provisions of the agreement will be effective from June 1, 2026. Until that time, the EAEU member states need to adopt the necessary national legal acts and develop a practice for the circulation of warehouse certificates.
