Duty-free import threshold of goods decreased in Kazakhstan
From April 1, the previous limit on duty-free import of goods for personal use is again in force in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports.
As specified in the State Revenue Committee, the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission to increase the threshold of duty-free imports has expired, and from April 1, the limits have been returned to standard values:
For goods imported in luggage, the limit is 500 euros in value and 25 kilograms in weight;
For goods delivered by the carrier or sent by mail, the maximum value is €200 and the gross weight is 31 kilograms.
This means that now you will have to pay a duty for the import of foreign parcels worth more than 200 euros and weighing more than 31 kilograms. This will especially affect buyers who are professionally engaged in the purchase of goods abroad.
