A direct flight between Almaty and Warsaw will launch in May 2026, El.kz reports.

Next summer, a new air route will connect Kazakhstan and Poland as the national carrier LOT Polish Airlines begins direct flights from Almaty to Warsaw.

According to the press service of Almaty International Airport, the first flight is scheduled for May 31, 2026. Flights will operate four times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the summer season. With the start of the winter schedule, flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The flight duration to the Polish capital will be approximately six and a half hours, and around seven and a half hours on the return route.

“Almaty will become the second city in Kazakhstan in our route network. Kazakhstan is the largest economy in Central Asia and an important partner for Poland in the region. This market is attractive for both business and leisure travel,” Robert Ludera, a representative of LOT Polish Airlines said.

The launch of the new route is set to  simplify travel between the two countries, creating new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange.
