Direct flight Almaty - Kuala Lumpur to be launched in March 2024

According to the head of the tourism department of the city of Almaty, Galiya Tokseitova, today the metropolis has 42 direct destinations and a visa-free regime with 82 countries of the world. It is planned that direct flights between Almaty and Kuala Lumpur will be opened in March, El.kz reports.

An important factor in the development of incoming tourism is also the completion of the construction of a new terminal at the Almaty International Airport by June this year. The airport's capacity will reach 14 million passengers per year.

According to forecasts, by 2024, the number of foreign tourists in the city should reach 520 thousand people.
