The event took place at the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower and gathered around 400 fans from Spain, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Latin America, Vietnam, Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
Dimash greeted the audience in Spanish, expressed his joy at being there, thanked everyone for their support, and shared that he hopes to perform a song in Spanish at his upcoming concert in November.
Journalist Yolanda García greeted Dimash in Kazakh and noted that many Spanish Dears are learning Kazakh thanks to him.
When asked about the China–Kazakhstan project, Dimash revealed details of a new competition in which he will serve as a producer:
“This is going to be a large-scale competition. As I imagine it now and as I hope it will be, it will be a project of planetary scale. Of course, only God knows how far we’ll be able to go with it. Right now, we’re in the final stage of negotiations with Hunan TV. The idea came from our Chinese friends, and I was invited to lead the project. In the end, we agreed that the show will be filmed in Kazakhstan as a symbol of friendship not just between China and Kazakhstan, but among all nations.
We’ll take great care in selecting the musicians. I want the jury to consist of legendary masters and well-known artists. This will be my debut as a producer of a vocal competition, and we’ll try to create something truly outstanding. Just know that this project will be very different from all existing TV shows. I feel a great responsibility and excitement about the chance to bring this ambitious idea to life and discover new, talented artists.”
Dimash also mentioned upcoming plans in China, including participation in a film festival, though details remain confidential for now.
When asked about his October solo concert at Madison Square Garden, he was questioned whether achieving one dream after another ever feels intimidating. Dimash replied that it doesn’t matter to him where he performs – what matters is performing for his fans and earning their applause. Thanks to God and the Dears, he’s not afraid of anything.
