Development of new Budget Code discussed in Ministry of Finance

As part of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubayev, the development of the new Budget Code was discussed, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the project, it is proposed to reduce the terms and stages of the budget process by half by combining the budget request and programs into a single planning document. Measures will also be taken to radically simplify budget processes, increase the efficiency of planning and use of budget funds at the expense of block budget elements, and implement new results management tools.

Currently, accounting of the state's finances is carried out only within the framework of the budget. At the same time, significant assets of the state are used outside the budget. In this regard, the full picture of the real financial resources of the state is not visible.

In conclusion, Yerulan Zhamaubayev instructed to take into account the proposals of representatives of society when developing a new Budget Code, noting that the new document should be understandable to every person.
