Desant-2025 exercises involved over 3,000 military personnel practicing operations under high combat readiness conditions

Over 3,000 military personnel practicing operations took part in the active phase of the “Desant-2025” exercise,El.kz reports citing Defense Ministry.
Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov noted that such exercises not only test combat readiness but also demonstrate the cohesion of the units. According to him, the introduction of new methods and technologies enables the troops to operate with maximum efficiency.
A unique feature of “Desant-2025” was the use of a format as close as possible to real combat conditions. For the first time, over 800 service members carried out tasks in underground command posts, where they remained for four days.
Unmanned aerial vehicles played an important role, being used for reconnaissance, adjustment of air and artillery fire, as well as for real-time command and control of units.
In total, the maneuvers involved over 50 artillery units, around 30 armored vehicles, and over 250 automobiles.
Upon the completion of the exercises, the Minister of Defense visited the military units of the Almaty garrison, heard reports from commanders, and instructed them to keep military infrastructure and equipment in full readiness.
