Deputy of Majilis asked to prohibit banks from issuing IIN to foreigners

According to the press service of the AMANAT party, Murat Abenov, representing the AMANAT faction in the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, appealed to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry not to allow second-tier banks to issue IIN (individual identification number) to foreigners, El.kz reports.

He noted that some Kazakh media and social networks reported on the decision to issue IIN through second-tier banks in order to reduce the burden on public service centers.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, having learned about this, are concerned about the economic and national security of the country, for the reliability of the provision of IIN to persons who do not have the right to receive, including non-residents of our country without their personal presence. Such suspicions are facilitated by the fact that information is being disseminated on social networks that a paid service for obtaining an IIN and a bank card is provided in neighboring countries without entering Kazakhstan.
