DELEGATION FROM TASHKENT VISITED THE HOUSE OF FRIENDSHIP IN ASTANA

The delegation of the legislative chamber of Oliy Mazhlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the official visit to Kazakhstan got acquainted with the work of Uzbek ethno-cultural center in Astana.

The meeting, which was held in capital House of friendship, were attended by Deputy Chairman of Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Vladimir Bozhko, Oliy Mazhlis’ speaker of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nurdinzhon Issmoilov, Deputy akim of Astana, Yermek Amanshayev.

"This center was opened as one of the first in April 2007. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Uzbek Ethno-cultural Association is one of the most active. This year we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Astana, our city hosted the EXPO exhibition last year. Uzbek Ethno-cultural Association actively participated in all these significant events," Deputy Mayor of the capital E. Amanshayev said.

In 2017, “ZIYO” Uzbek Sunday school received state support. It works on the basis of school-lyceum No. 53.

"This is a Sunday school, where children of different ages are taught Uzbek language, traditions and culture. Two groups were formed. The number of students is growing every year. There are three teachers. Youth wing "Astana Gunchalari", which includes students and schoolchildren of the capital, is organized at the ethno-cultural center. The total number of activists is more than 100 people, " the Deputy mayor of Astana added.

In turn, Oliy Mazhilis’ speaker Nurdinzhon Issmailov noted that Uzbek ethno-cultural centre in Astana is receiving great support.

"As far as I know, Uzbek ethno-cultural centre in the capital receives a lot of financial and organizational support. I want to thank you for this," Nurdinzhon Issmoilov said.

At the end of the meeting, a concert was held for the guests from the brotherly country.
