Delegation from China visits Almaty Development Center

A delegation from the Shenzhen City Hall arrived at the Center of development of Almaty in order to strengthen cooperation between cities in the field of digital transformation and development of smart cities,El.kz news agency reports with reference to the mayor's office of Almaty.

According to data director of Shenzhen Urban Transportation Planning Center Co., Ltd. (SUTPC) in recent years, Shenzhen has especially focused on the development and construction of smart cities. SUTPC is a leading company in this industry, with numerous science and technology awards and patents for more than 300 inventions under the Smart City concept.

Ruslan Barmashev, Managing Director (CIO) of Department of Digitalization in Almaty Development Center, presented to the guests an information system - "Situation Center of the city of Almaty", which allows collecting, processing and analyzing information received from city information systems and open sources, in order to form data analytics that help in making management decisions, as well as the emergence of software tools for quality control of all spheres of the city's life.

He also presented modules on safety, transport, inclusion, education, health and ecology. Particular attention was paid to the "Safe City" direction and the social sphere.

Representatives of the Shenzhen City Hall showed interest in these projects and expressed their readiness to provide support and help with consultations.
