Daily oil production decreasing in Kazakhstan – statistics
On June 4, 229.3 thousand tons of oil and gas condensate were produced in Kazakhstan. This is one of the lowest levels since the beginning of 2023, according to the data of the Information and Analytical Center for Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the telegram channel DataHub_FCBK.
It is noteworthy that the figure is less than 230 thousand tons for five days in a row. This year this happens for the first time, although on some days it has already fallen below the specified level. In general, the highest average daily volumes of oil and gas condensate production in 2023 were in January - 256.9 thousand tons. Then for three months they stayed at around 252 thousand tons.
- In May, there was a decrease to 243.7 thousand tons, which, first of all, was due to the decision of OPEC+ to reduce oil production. Kazakhstan, as a member of the cartel, pledged to voluntarily reduce oil production by 78 thousand barrels per day from May to the end of 2023. Today it became known that the voluntary reduction will last until the end of 2024, the channel writes.
