Customs regulations in bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan discussed with Lithuanian Minister of Finance

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Timur Urazayev and Minister of Finance of Lithuania Gintare Skaiste discussed topical issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and interaction in the field of customs control, El.kz cites MFA.

Ambassador Urazayev informed about the activities of the Government of Kazakhstan in the context of sanctions issues, measures related to monitoring the customs regulation of trade flows between Lithuania and Kazakhstan, and improving mechanisms for ensuring transit from Europe to Asia. He also confirmed the willingness of the Kazakh side to continue cooperation for the exchange of information in the field of cargo transportation.

Minister Skaiste spoke about the steps taken by the Lithuanian government in the context of the EU sanctions policy and some changes in the work of the Lithuanian customs authorities.

The interlocutors agreed to maintain permanent working contacts in order to improve the forms of bilateral cooperation.
