CSTO CSC session to consider candidacy of CSTO Secretary General for upcoming three-year period
On November 27, a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), Council of Defense Ministers (CDM), and Committee of Security Council Secretaries (CSCS) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), chaired by Kyrgyzstan, will be held in Bishkek. Participants will discuss current issues of joint work, including strengthening cooperation in combating drug trafficking and illegal migration.
The CSTO CSC session is expected to adopt a Declaration reflecting the consolidated positions of member states on current security issues and to consider the candidacy of the CSTO Secretary General for the upcoming three-year period (2026-2029). Furthermore, the priorities for Russia's upcoming chairmanship of the Organization in 2026 are expected to be announced.
