Course towards digitalization and AI: Minister of Defense outlined priorities for implementing President's message

Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov chaired a meeting to determine the priorities for the development of the defense department in line with the provisions of the President’s Address to the Nation, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
The Minister of Defense emphasized the strategic task of accelerating the introduction of digitalization tools and artificial intelligence technologies.
“The Ministry of Defense is tasked with actively implementing digital solutions, AI technologies, autonomous control systems, as well as strengthening the” stressed Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov.
The head of the defense department instructed that by the end of this year, every military unit must complete the construction of a local network, while all military educational institutions should digitize the learning process and introduce courses on artificial intelligence. In the transport, logistics, and construction sectors, the minister emphasized the need to improve work quality and make extensive use of 3D modeling.
Special focus was placed on the development of military medicine. Artificial intelligence technologies must also be integrated into the work of military medical services, which have been tasked with building a new system for monitoring the quality and volume of medical care.
Issues of educational and ideological work also played an important role in the meeting. Particular attention will be given to strengthening public trust in the army, raising legal awareness, and fostering modern value orientations among servicemen.
