The court of the Atyrau region ordered the Nurmaniyaz – Atyrau company to return 851 million tenge to the Kazakh budget for the illegal sale of soil in the amount of 88.5 thousand cubic meters. This was reported in a statement by the regional prosecutor's office, El.kz reports.

This company previously received a permit for the extraction of common minerals and successfully won a tender for the restoration of hydraulic structures at the Caspian Morskoye field. However, it was

stated in the contract that the sale of excavated soil for other purposes was prohibited. Despite this, the company proceeded with a commercial sale.

After the intervention of the environmental prosecutor's office, the regional akimat decided to cancel the permit issued to the company.

The Prosecutor's Office stressed the importance of complying with legislation in the field of ecology and nature management, stressing that violations in this area lead to legal liability.
