CICA summit to affect geopolitical status of Kazakhstan – expert
The VI summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is held in the capital of Kazakhstan, where 11 heads of member states participate. On this event, Deputy of the Maslikhat of Astana Bakdaulet Zhandildayev shared his opinion, El.kz correspondent reports.
At the CICA summit, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev voiced the main goals and objectives aimed at strengthening international relations.
"Now all the world's attention is on the capital of the country. Our country is located in Central Asia. In terms of diplomatic reputation, this is a big plus for us. The most important aspect that the President spoke about is the achievement of world order. I completely agree with that. I think the CICA summit will affect not only the geopolitical status of our country, but also the events that are taking place in neighboring countries. As for the environment, this is now one of the most relevant topics in the world. After all, there is a shortage of water, global warming and other natural disasters around the world. The President also spoke about the special fund of the summit, responsible for financing the projects and programs of the forum. These are the proposals of the President that I have highlighted for myself," Bakdaulet Zhandildayev said.
