A Kazakh woman in the German parliament announced upcoming affordable flights between Kazakhstan and Europe, El.kz reports.
The 26-year-old, who became a member of the Bundestag and lives in Berlin, shared the good news: Kazakhstan is expected to sign an aviation agreement with the European Union. The deal will allow international low-cost airlines to enter the country’s market, opening up the possibility of direct flights to European cities at affordable prices.
According to her, similar agreements were previously signed by Georgia and Armenia, which led to significantly cheaper flights to Europe from those countries. In the near future, Kazakhstanis will also be able to fly directly from Almaty, Astana, and possibly Shymkent to Milan, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, and other cities at prices comparable to European ones.
“Imagine how convenient it will be to fly directly from Astana to Berlin or other European capitals. It’s a saving of both time and money, and most importantly — new opportunities for tourism and business,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
