Car prices falling in Kazakhstan

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prices for new cars in December 2023 decreased by 4.2% per month,El.kz reports.

This year, the price for used car decreased by 30%. One of the main reasons for the decline in prices is the mass import of cars from China. Most popular models of them are Haval, Changan, Chery, GAC. The average price for the model of these cars is 15 million tenge.

In search of cheap cars, Kazakhstanis continue to drive cars from Georgia, despite high barriers. Last year, the re-export of cars from Georgia to the countries of Central Asia increased by 215%. At the same time, Kazakhstan is the leader in the purchase of cars.

There are a lot of cars with favorable prices on the Georgian market, but cars are imported there from the USA and Europe after an accident, before that they are repaired to perfect condition. On average, the price without customs is 6.5 million tenge.
