Cancer treatment equipment presented in Almaty

Modern equipment for cancer diagnosis and treatment has been presented for the first time in Almaty, El.kz reports.
The presentation took place at the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazNIIOIR)
The Ethos linear accelerator powered by artificial intelligence enables gentle radiation therapy by precisely targeting tumors while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue.
According to the center, the procedure for one patient takes about 20 minutes, and the machine can treat up to 100–120 people within 12 hours. Automation reduces the workload for doctors and increases the accuracy of treatment.
The introduction of such equipment helps make modern cancer care in Kazakhstan more accessible to a wider population and reduces the need for patients to travel abroad for treatment.
