Alexander Bublik has opened his campaign at the 2026 US Open with a victory.
In the first round, Bublik faced American player J.J. Wolf and secured a four-set victory with a score 6–4, 6–2, 3–6, 6–1.
Bublik recorded 18 aces during the match, despite his opponent being ranked only 253rd in the ATP rankings.
He converted seven of eight break-point opportunities. However, Bublik once again recorded a relatively high number of double faults, committing ten during the match.
In the West, Alexander Bublik has long attracted attention not only for his on-court flair and unorthodox play. This season, he has increasingly been regarded as a tennis player who has finally translated his talent into tangible results.
