Almaty hosted an extended meeting of members of the Board of "Republican ethno-cultural center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" (RECCUK) NGO with participation of the Deputy of the Mazhilis, member of the Council of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Republican ethno-cultural center of Uigurs of Kazakhstan Shaimardan Nurumov.

The meeting discussed the State of the Nation Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev.

The meeting also discussed organizational issues, as well as new members of the Board.

Also the opening of a branch of Uigur ethno-cultural centre was opened in Almaty. A well-known surgeon Abdullam Zhapparov was elected as the Chairman of the branch.
