Best product of Kazakhstan named in Almaty
Almaty hosted the regional competition-exhibition "The Best Product of Kazakhstan", as well as the exhibition of artisans "One village - one product". Applications for the competition were submitted by about 80 Almaty companies, El.kz reports.
The range of the exhibition is wide: from food, national style products, clothing, shoes, ending with cable products, furniture to high-tech devices that instantly determine blood pressure and general human health.
According to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment of Almaty, the southern capital is the center of entrepreneurial initiative in Kazakhstan. The city has developed small and medium-sized businesses, which account for more than half (53.9%) of the regional economy, employing 871.9 thousand people or 79.5% of the economically active population.
"380 thousand small and medium-sized businesses are registered in the city, which is 22% higher than in the same period in 2022 (312 thousand). The number of operating SMEs is 323,083 units, which is 39% higher than the same period last year. This is about 16.2% of the share of Almaty in the total number of operating SMEs in the republic, thus, according to this indicator, the metropolis ranks first in Kazakhstan annually," the head of the Department emphasized

In the nomination "The Best Goods for the Population", the manufacturer of a wide range of household chemicals Microhim LLP, the manufacturer of biofertilizers for plants, biologically active additives for animals "Black biotechnology", which produces heat-saving, insulating materials LLP "Teplostil" became leaders.
In the nomination "Best Food Products", the winners were the production of fast food LLP "Red Dragon Almaty", the manufacturer of natural juices, compotes, drinks, IE "Sharyn Shyryny", the manufacturer of dairy products LLP "Organic foods".
These companies will defend the prestige of the southern capital in the competition at the republican level.
