The Musical Alliance concert series will continue at Astana Opera’s Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall. This year, a concert dedicated to the 340th anniversary of one of the world’s greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach, will open the series, El.kz reports citing astanaopera.kz.

This evening, a meeting with the great master’s immortal sonatas and partitas awaits the listeners.

Bach’s sonatas and partitas for solo violin are considered the pinnacle of the art of the Baroque era musical composing. These works, written at the beginning of the 18th century, still amaze with their emotional fullness and technical complexity. Each chord, each passage in these works contains the composer’s philosophical reflections on life, faith and human destiny.

340th anniversary of Bach’s birth is a wonderful occasion to touch his creative work, as well as the opportunity to once again touch pure, inspiring music that does not lose its relevance.

The project unites the creative forces of the violinists well-known in the republic, including Anel Shakirova, Akmaral Zhangazina, Madina Kapeu, Yerkebulan Saparbayev, Assel Zhakiyanova. The musicians will be led by the author and ideological inspirer of the project, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan Bagdat Abilkhanov. Incidentally, recently Bagdat Abilkhanov became a first-degree laureate of the prestigious International Performing Arts Competition Grand Art Express – China in the Instrumental Art. Violin nomination.

Each subsequent concert in the series, according to tradition, will be a real musical event, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the context of the creation of works. During the concerts, the musicologists-hosts of Astana Opera help the audience to better understand the intentions of the composers by offering cognitive mini-lectures that accompany the artists’ performances.

As a reminder, the Musical Alliance series was born last year 2024. It brings the joy of meeting with local and foreign musicians. And its main goal is to popularize national and world classics.
