Average age of marriage in Kazakhstan named

At the end of 2023, the capital surpassed all other regions in the number of marriages per 1000 people - 7.46. The Turkestan region is a directly opposite example. The marriage rate here was the lowest - 5.55, El.kz reports with reference to Data.Hub

In 8 out of 10 cases, Kazakhstanis get married for the first time. At the same time, the average age of the groom is 27.8 years, the bride is 25.2 years.

In terms of specific age ranges, the majority of men who got married in 2023 were between 20 and 39 years old (85%), and most women were between 18 and 34 years old (82%).

Almost every fifth new family created in Kazakhstan is interethnic.

41% of brides have higher education. At the same time, the share of grooms who graduated from the university is slightly lower – 39%.

Most marriages take place in June and August, and the least in January and February
