This is a seed round from private investor Talgat Ismail, who has experience in venture capital investments in Kazakhstan's Smart Satu, ChocoFamily and a number of other projects.
"Kid Security project is a mobile application that allows parents to be calm for the safety of their children, knowing where they are and motivating their children to do useful things for self-development like studying, sports and home. If competitors are only trying to please their parents, Kid Security also cares about their children's interests. "Our service offers the system of motivating and rewarding children for achievements in studies, hobby development, home duties, interactive competitive online games for erudition and logic and much more. Prizes are given to children by their parents and partners from children's retail stores," said Talgat Ayapov, co-founder of the project.
You can download the application for yourself and your child at Play Market and Apple Store for free by clicking on the link https://hipolink.me/kidsecurity.
"As of today we have already more than 170 thousand downloads of the application, including 20% of Kazakhstani consumers, 74% of Russians and 6% of representatives of CIS and European countries. In total, 26 thousand active users have been registered since the launch of our Kid Security service. We hope that we will help to make life of our current users even easier and wait for new ones. During COVID-19 pandemic, the online EdTech market is particularly relevant, where the project team strives to keep children with an unusual approach to technology," co-founder Asat Ashamanov said.
According to the developers, the service is in demand in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine for the last 7 months. Now it is necessary to repeat the process in new markets. The application has been translated into 11 languages. The investments received will be used for further development of the technological part of the product and scaling to the US, UK and Israeli markets. In order to enter international markets and scale the project, the team was selected for Arkady Moreynis’ Moscow online accelerator United Investors, which will be held from June 15 to August 2020.
"Children's safety is one of the parents' priorities and the Kid Security project contributes to it using digital technologies. The company's field of activity is promising, and its business model is scalable. Most important, it is a team with healthy ambitions and a desire to conquer international markets. It is gratifying that a layer of IT entrepreneurs is being formed in Kazakhstan, who are aimed at the global market," added investor Talgat Ismail.
It is worth noting that the Kazakhstani startup Kid Security is a participant in the acceleration programmes of the International IT Technopark - Astana Hub startups. In the period of 2018-2019, the project received grants, venture investment, became the winner of competitions of startup projects held in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Moscow.
