Astana will host the Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum (EHELF-2026) on June 5–6, 2026, El.kz reports.
The forum is organized by the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education and the leading pedagogical institution in Central Asia.
EHELF was successfully held annually from 2011 to 2019, establishing itself as a platform for dialogue between universities, government, business, and experts. This year, forum has updated the program.
The central theme of the event is the role of universities in an era of rapid technological change, economic uncertainty, climate challenges, and a complex geopolitical landscape.
The program will be structured around three main tracks:
1. "Universities for a Sustainable and Equitable Future"
2. "Universities in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation"
3. "University Leadership in a Changing World"
Featured speakers include renowned international experts: Norbert Csizmadia (geoeconomics and geopolitics), Mahendhiran Sanggaran Nair (econometrics and data analytics), Wayne Holmes (expert on AI in education from University College London), and others.
