At the end of August, Astana Opera soloist, graduate of the Astana Opera International Opera Academy, laureate of national and international competitions Alikhan Zeinolla debuted in the main part of Conte di Libenskof in Rossini’s Il Viaggio a Reims in Teatro Rossini in Pesaro, Italy, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.
“In 2022 I was invited to an important concert to the capital of Kyrgyzstan, where I performed a cavatina in Rossini’s opera In Barbiere di Siviglia and a famous aria from Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles accompanied by an orchestra. Mr. Ernesto Palacio, the director of the Rossini Festival, saw my performance and through my agent, Mr. Fedeli, I received an invitation to the Rossini Academy in Pesaro (Italy). The training program at the academy includes a series of master classes, one of which I took with the world-famous tenor Juan Diego Flores. My debut in the great Italian opera Il Viaggio a Reims by Rossini, as well as participation in several other significant concerts in Italy, were the results of my training,” tenor Alikhan Zeinolla said.
It is worth noting that during his studies in the academy, Ernesto Palacio chose Alikhan Zeinolla for his debut as Conte di Libenskof in the first cast among four tenors who came from different world countries. In addition to studying at the academy, the Kazakh tenor performed concert programs in the cities of Gradara, Fermignano, Urbino and Pesaro.
“Musical and stage rehearsals of the opera Il Viaggio a Reims were held daily in Italian at the Teatro Rossini, the Experimental Theatre and the Scavolini Auditorium under the baton of conductor Davide Levi and with the participation of internationally renowned pianist-coaches. The production premiered with great success at the end of August,” added Astana Opera soloist Alikhan Zeinolla.
As a reminder, during his internship at the academy, Alikhan was invited to Romania to perform the part of Count Almaviva in the production of the opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In addition, he performed in Budapest in the large-scale mass Stabat Mater. Thus, the performance was the talented tenor’s third European debut.
