The Astana Opera International Opera Academy is preparing to delight opera music aficionados with several unforgettable concerts in July. These events will not only demonstrate the young performers’ talent, but also showcase the high level of preparation that the academy represents, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.

Thus, on July 4, a concert entitled Through the Pages of the Opera Classics will be held at Astana Opera’s Baroque Hall. The evening will take listeners on a musical journey through the great works of world opera. The concert participants are young, energetic vocalists Leila Alamanova, Firuza Rakhmetova, Anastasia Remeskova (sopranos), Nursultan Anuarbek, Shohrukh Yunusov and Merei Kadyrkhanov (tenors), and also Sultan Bakytzhan, Bekulan Yerbolatuly, Jurica Jurasić Kapun and Nematillo Zkrullaev (baritones). The concert program includes a wide range of opera arias, duets and ensembles. Well-known domestic teachers, Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan Azamat Zheltyrguzov and Zhupar Gabdullina, as well as accompanists Dina Mirmanova and Zhanar Akhmetova, worked with the artists to prepare them for their performance.

A week later, on July 10, another significant concert called Vivat Academia! will take place at the Kulyash Baiseitova Chamber Hall. It will present to the audience the achievements of the International Opera Academy attendees, emphasizing their skills and the acquired knowledge that they received during the academic year. Incidentally, the cast of performers includes the same talented vocalists as in the first concert.

Firiza Rakhmetova, one of the participants in the musical evenings, recently became a winner of the First Nurzhamal Ussenbayeva International Vocal Competition, taking the honourable second place. Her colleague, Leila Alamanova, also won second place, but at the 9th Bulbul International Vocal Competition in Baku, Azerbaijan. These significant achievements highlight the high level of excellence achieved by the academy’s young vocalists.

Another famous graduate of the Astana Opera Academy, Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev, won first prize at the Big Opera International TV Competition. His victory brought recognition to Kazakhstan and was a clear indication of the quality of education offered by the academy.

As a reminder, the Astana Opera International Opera Academy was founded on the basis of the capital’s opera house with the aim of preparing young talents for a professional opera career. The academy provides its attendees with unique opportunities to learn from leading teachers and performers, as well as participation in a variety of stage projects and taking master classes from world-famous coaches. The academy’s curriculum includes not only vocal disciplines, but also acting, stage movement and language training, which ensures the comprehensive development of future opera stars.

Executive director of the Astana Opera International Opera Academy Aisulu Tani noted the importance of the upcoming concerts. “Musical evenings Through the Pages of the Opera Classics and Vivat Academia! are an excellent opportunity for the attendees to demonstrate their talents and the results of their hard work. We are proud of our young vocalists and believe that they will make a significant contribution to the development of opera not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad,” Aisulu Tani emphasized.
