Media professionals, international partners, and representatives of government organizations gathered on one platform to discuss key issues in the development of the industry.
Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Iskakov spoke at the plenary session titled “New Directions in Journalism in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization: Public Trust and Development.”
Kanat Iskakov discussed the transformation of journalism in the digital age and emphasized that the importance of such professional platforms is growing every year.
According to Kazakh Vice Minister of Culture and Information, journalism today is fully integrated into the digital environment, and adaptation to artificial intelligence, multimedia, and interactive formats is a natural stage in the industry’s evolution.
Over the course of three days, participants will attend plenary and panel discussions, keynote sessions, closed pitching projects, and practical master classes on topics such as media ethics, documentary filmmaking, artificial intelligence, image communications, data journalism, and professional development for journalists.
Among the speakers are representatives of Euronews, Anadolu Agency, TRT Avaz Kanal, Khabar, Qazaqstan, Atameken Business, NUR.KZ, as well as experts from Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Europe.
Dedicated sessions will also focus on the streaming platform market, featuring participants from TV+, Kinopoisk, Unico Play, Birge TV, and Freedom Media.
For two days, the media center’s hall is hosting the Astana Media Week 2025 Content Market, displayed on a 50-meter LED screen. The platform showcases new formats, international collaborations, and pilot projects.
As part of Astana Media Week 2025, special prizes are provided for the most active participants — including annual subscription certificates and trips to Samarkand.
