Astana International Forum kicked off in Kazakh capital

The capital of Kazakhstan hosts the Astana International Forum the participation of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, El.kz reports citing the press service of Aqorda.
Kazakh President welcomed distinguished guests, including President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, as well as representatives from the UN, international organizations, diplomacy, business, and science.
“We are happy to meet with friends and colleagues from around the world. It is important for us that the forum brings together those who strive for open and honest discussions on contemporary challenges", Tokayev emphasized.
The Head of State noted that the current agenda of the forum is shaped against the backdrop of increasing global instability and requires a responsible approach.
The forum in Astana has become a platform for dialogue on key issues of the global economy, security, climate, and sustainable development.
Kazakhstan intends to continue its course towards strengthening international cooperation and building a bridge between the East and the West.
