Asian Speedcubing Championship is over
The official ceremony of awarding the winners of the Asian Speedcubing Championship was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports.
The award ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev and Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek.
The Asian Speedcubing Championship has been held for the second year in a row, Kazakhstan is the first Central Asian country to win the right to host the championship. It should be noted that this is also the first championship that was held in the CIS countries. To date, the number of Kazakhstani kubers is more than 10,000, and professional Kazakhstani kubers have already exceeded the mark of 1,000 people. In comparison with 2017, the number of participants has grown, then there were only 16 people.
In the final medal standings, the best results were shown by kubers from India (14 medals), Kazakhstan (9 medals) and China (6 medals).
According to the organizers, 116 coobers from 13 countries, including China, Japan, and India, took part in the Asian Speedcubing Championship.
The competitive part covered 17 disciplines and includes the classic assembly as 3x3x3 cubes, as well as blind and one-handed assembly. In addition to the competitive part, within the framework of the Asian Speedcubing Championship, masters of high-speed assembly made portraits of Dimash and GGG from 3000 Rubik's cubes.
