Arsen Zhakanbayev appointed Chairman of Committee for Water Management

By order of the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arsen Zhakanbayev was appointed Chairman of the Water Management Committee of the Ministry of Water Management of the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From the beginning of July 2023 to the present, he has held the position of Director of the Water Policy Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

From 2021 to 2023, he was Director of the Department of Transboundary Rivers in the same ministry, and in the previous period, from 2020 to 2021, he headed the Department of Water Resources Regulation in the Committee on Water Resources, also part of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.
