Armenian President calls Kazakhstan's Head of State's visit to Yerevan historic
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Armenian President Vahagn Garniki Khachaturyan, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The leader of Kazakhstan stressed that he attaches exceptional importance to his first official visit to Armenia.
"Armenia is an important and significant partner for Kazakhstan. It is with special feelings that I visit the land of the Armenian people, which has a rich history and culture dating back to ancient civilization," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
According to him, during the talks with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a thorough and fruitful discussion of the bilateral agenda took place.
- Of course, the main result was the confirmation of the mutual desire for the comprehensive strengthening of Kazakh-Armenian relations. We have reached important agreements and outlined plans to further deepen the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia. We also "compared notes" on issues of the international and regional agenda, the President of Kazakhstan noted.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vahagn Khachaturyan discussed a number of issues of Kazakh-Armenian cooperation, paying special attention to cooperation in the political, trade, economic, transport, transit, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The President of Armenia called the visit of the leader of Kazakhstan to Yerevan historic, noting that the results of the talks create a solid foundation for strengthening ties between the two countries and bring interstate relations to a new level.
"I am sure that your visit will contribute to the further development and strengthening of relations between Kazakhstan and Armenia. We are connected by a common history and present. And in these difficult times, we are developing our cooperation. We see that during your presidency, Kazakhstan is achieving success in many areas. I would like to wish you personally and the Kazakh people as a whole new achievements," Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized.
