Almaty region attracts over 420 bln tenge investments

As of the first half of 2025, investments in the fixed capital of Almaty region reached 421.6 billion tenge, El.kz reports citing the regional akimat's press service.

During a meeting of the regional administration, Marat Sultangaziev, Akim of Almaty region noted that the volume of attracted investments in January–June 2025 increased by 24.7% compared to the same period in 2024. This indicates a stable development of the investment climate in the region.

Private investments accounted for 288.6 billion tenge of the total, and Almaty region’s share in the national investment volume reached 5.2%. Special attention is being paid to foreign capital: in Q1 of 2025, foreign direct investment in the region totaled $210.7 million — 1.5 times more than last year.

According to Sultangaziev, investment remains one of the key drivers of sustainable growth and improved quality of life in the region.

In the second half of the year, additional measures are planned to reduce administrative barriers, provide investor support through a “one-stop shop” system, and promote the region’s opportunities on international platforms.
