At a recent meeting of the Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, measures to prepare for the upcoming heating season were considered, El.kz cites the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Prime Minister stressed the presence of serious delays in the preparatory work for the heating season in a number of regions of the country. Among the affected facilities are CHPP-2 in Temirtau and Zhezkazgan CHPP, where boiler repair work is significantly behind plan. The head of government also paid special attention to the unsatisfactory progress of the reconstruction of heating systems in some regions.

Smailov called on the akims of the regions involved to strengthen control over the progress of repair work, together with the Ministry of Energy, conducting daily monitoring. He paid special attention to the need to provide the necessary thermal capacity by the beginning of the heating season, given the limited time remaining before its start.

In addition, problems were identified with the preparation of a number of social facilities in the Abai region, Atyrau region and in the capital. Smailov stressed the critical importance of promptly resolving all of the above issues, setting a two-week deadline for their implementation.
