Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov got acquainted with the implementation of the Auyl Amanaty project aimed at increasing the income of the rural population in the Kostanay region and visited a newly opened enterprise for processing leguminous crops, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.
The head of government visited the farm created by the participant of the Auyl Amanaty project Kymbat Kokieva in the village of Zarechnoye, Kostanay region. Under the program, Kymbat received 5.2 million tenge.
"My parents had a small farm. The private house has all the conditions for keeping farm animals. When I voiced this idea, my parents were happy and supportive. In the future, I want to increase the number of livestock. Open my own butcher shop, engage in the production of semi-finished products. I’d like to open a meat production shop," the entrepreneur said.
The Auyl Amanaty project, launched at the initiative of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is aimed at improving the lives and increasing the incomes of villagers. Within the framework of the project, microloans are provided at 2.5 percent per annum for a period of 5-7 years to start a business.
At the same time, special attention is paid to recipients of targeted social assistance.
Funds for the project can be taken by both start-up and operating entrepreneurs.
The Prime Minister recalled that the implementation of the Auyl Amanaty program started in the Zhambyl region. It has proven to be an effective tool, so it was decided to scale it to all regions of the country from 2023.
"We see that this is a very effective program. Last year, the Government allocated 100 bln tenge for its implementation. This made it possible to issue 12 thousand microloans. This year, the implementation of the program will continue, it is planned to provide 17 thousand microloans. The most important thing is employment in rural areas and an increase in incomes, the development of cooperation and agricultural production. We wish you success in the implementation of your plans," Alikhan Smailov said.
The Prime Minister also visited the new Kaizen leguminous crops processing enterprise with a capacity of 170,000 tons of finished products per year. A full production cycle has been established here - from raw materials to packaging. 4 billion tenge of investments were invested in the project, 70 jobs were created.
Alikhan Smailov stressed that the Government has the task to double the output in the agro-industrial complex.
"The other day we held a large meeting on this topic, where we set specific indicators for each region for the current and next years. This applies to the increase in sown areas, the introduction of water-saving technologies, the introduction of mineral fertilizers, the development of processing and other areas. It is important to fully implement these plans in a timely manner," Kazakh PM said.
