ALEXANDER PUSHKIN – THE SUN OF RUSSIAN POETRY: PETROPAVLOVSK MARKED POET’S 220TH BIRTHDAY
Petropavlovsk House of Friendship hosted a literary festival dedicated to the 220th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin.
The assembly hall of the House of Friendship of Petropavlovsk was full of guests of the event. The holiday began with the opening words of the representatives "Russian Community of Kazakhstan" and "Brotherhood of Siberian Cossacks" NGO.
Famous poets and writers in the city congratulated everyone on the significant event. As a sign of gratitude to creativity of the great poet, representatives of youth, and also other organizations read works of A. Pushkin. Artists of N. Pogodin Russian Drama Theatre and actors of the City House of Culture demonstrated excerpts from the famous poems "Aleko" and "Golden Cock" to the public, which are familiar to all since childhood.
The special atmosphere of the literary evening was given by romances, which fascinated with their depth and sincerity. The following was a review of A. Pushkin's books from I. Shukhov Central City Library. All those present were unanimous: Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin is the sun of Russian poetry, there is no man on the planet who does not know at least one work of the great poet. Let's remember and honor the heritage that we inherited and pass it on from generation to generation!
