Press Secretary of the President of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zheldibay held meetings with representatives of the largest international media on the eve of the second Central Asian Media Forum, El.kz reports citing the Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zheldibay.

The  meeting with the deputy editor-in-chief of the Chinese media corporation CGTN Din Yun focused on the prospects for the development of media cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. In particular, the sides discussed the strengthening the coverage of friendly and strategic relations between the two countries on the international agenda.

The Kazakh side proposed a joint TV project that can become a platform for deepening cultural exchange and promoting national content at the international level.

A meeting was also held with Eman Al Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, and Issa Ali, Managing Director of Al Jazeera English Areas of cooperation in the training of journalists, the development of professional skills in the media sphere, as well as the possibility of creating documentary projects about Kazakhstan - its history, natural resources and socio-economic achievements - were discussed.

One of the key topics was the opening of an Al Jazeera correspondent office in Kazakhstan. It is expected that its launch will ensure the production of original media content about events in the republic and Central Asia, expanding the country's international presence in the information space.

Recall that in 2023, during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Qatar, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Al Jazeera, which laid the foundation for further partnership.
