Chief Executive Officer Peter Foster will retire at the end of March 2026 after 20 years leading Kazakhstan’s carrier, El.kz reports.

Following his departure, Foster will continue to work with Air Astana as a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors.

The Board expressed gratitude to the top manager for his “two decades of leadership and outstanding contribution to the company’s development”.

Ibrahim Canliel, the company’s current Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Foster as CEO. He has been with Air Astana since 2003 and previously headed several commercial divisions.
