Aida Balayeva congratulates Kazakhstanis on International Family Day

Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva addressed the citizens with a congratulatory message on the occasion of the International Day of Families,El.kz reports.

In her address, the minister noted that this day serves as a reminder of the main human value that unites generations – the family. The holiday was established by the UN more than 30 years ago and is annually intended to draw attention to issues that concern everyone: care, support, safety, love, and the future of children.

According to Aida Balayeva, today there are 6.2 million families living in Kazakhstan, and the government considers their support as a key direction for sustainable development. Systematic work is underway in the country to protect motherhood and childhood, social programs are being implemented, and legislation in the area of family rights is being improved.

Special attention is given to young couples who need knowledge, support, and confidence in the future. In this direction, 112 Family Support Centers actively work where legal, psychological, and social assistance can be obtained.

"Family is a place where we are loved and accepted. When the family is strong, the state is strong as well," emphasized the minister. As part of the congratulations, Aida Balayeva also announced the start of accepting applications for the National competition "Meraili Otbasy," the aim of which is to showcase worthy examples of family traditions and mutual understanding. The competition covers all regions of the country and allows participants to share inspiring stories.

Additionally, the minister invited everyone interested to join the online challenge dedicated to Family Day.
