Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay met with the Minister of Agriculture of Jordan Khaled Musa Al-Hnaifat, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current cooperation in the agricultural sector, in particular, issues of increasing supplies of Kazakh mutton to the Jordanian market, joint investment projects in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, and prospects for supplying Kazakh wheat to the Jordanian market.
The parties mentioned with satisfaction the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Veterinary Medicine signed in Amman in February this year, which will further enhance cooperation between the authorized bodies of the two countries and positively impact the mutual supply of agricultural products.
The Ambassador informed about the attractiveness of investment in Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex. He stressed the importance of involving the Jordanian business community in the process of agricultural commodity exchange. He noted the expediency of Jordanian agricultural producers’ participation in the Kazakh-Jordanian Business Forum, which is planned to be held in Kazakhstan till the end of 2025. He also conveyed an invitation to the Astana International Forum (AIF-2025) to Khaled Al- Hnaifat, which will be held in May this year.
The Minister of Agriculture of Jordan, gratefully accepting the invitation, expressed the interest of Jordanian agricultural producers in cooperating with Kazakhstani enterprises and noted the potential for supplying vegetables, fruits, dates, and olive oil produced in Jordan to the Kazakh market.
