Agreement on development of guarantees within framework of EAEU discussed in Senate

Deputies of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget at an expanded meeting discussed the Law "On ratification of the Agreement on the specifics of the application of ensuring the fulfillment of the obligation to pay customs duties, taxes, special, anti-dumping, countervailing duties during the transportation of goods in accordance with the customs procedure of customs transit", El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The ratification of the Agreement is aimed at creating a more attractive system for the enforcement of customs duties, taxes, special, anti-dumping, countervailing duties during customs transit. In particular, the Agreement provides for the possibility of applying simplifications for declarants who have experience in working with general security for the fulfillment of the obligation to pay customs duties, as well as for guarantors recognized in accordance with the Agreement as national guarantors.

It is expected that the document will contribute to the further development of the transit potential of the EAEU, will reduce the costs of participants in foreign economic activity in transit traffic, and will also enable businesses to participate in the development and formation of the institution of "Guarantees", which, in turn, improves conditions for carriers.
