50 Starlink terminals sent to rural schools in Kazakhstan
The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry has sent about 250 Starlink terminals to three regions of the country. Thus, 138 terminals were delivered to the Akmola region, 53 terminals to the Zhambyl region and 55 terminals to the Zhetysu region. The connection of terminals in these regions is planned in the near future, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development.
In general, to date, 502 rural schools in the country are provided with the Internet using Starlink technology.
After the installation of the terminals, the average Internet speed in schools reaches 200 Mbps.
"The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent 48 Starlink terminals to the regions located in the flood zone in accordance with the requests of regional akimats," the press service said.
