30th anniversary celebrated by Land Forces of Kazakhstan

Created in April 1993 on the basis of the 40th Combined Arms Army, the Ground Forces of the Kazakh Army are the most numerous branch of the Armed Forces, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

They perform tasks to maintain the readiness of troops to repel aggression, armed protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, protection of state and military facilities.

The Ground Forces include the regional commands "South", "East", "West" and "Astana". They provide a stable situation in the areas of responsibility and are always ready to repel any enemy.

The troops are equipped with modern weapons and military equipment, high-precision weapons, communications, reconnaissance and automated control systems.

Training for this type of troops is carried out in specialized military educational institutions. Officers are trained at the Military Institute of the Ground Forces in the city of Almaty. Professional sergeants are graduated by the Military College in the city of Shchuchinsk, Akmola region. Junior specialists are trained at the Training Center of the Guards Garrison.

Taking into account the changes in the nature of the armed struggle in the Ground Forces, there is a constant adjustment of the training process, new methods of personnel training are being introduced into combat training, the armament fleet is being updated, military infrastructure is developing, and the quality and quantity of exercises are being improved annually.
