Alua Nurman, an 18-year-old chess player from Almaty won Asian Individual Women Blitz Chess Championship 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports.

The tournament took place in the city of Al Ain (United Arab Emirates)

The continental championship was held using the Swiss system. Alua won seven games, drew one, and only lost one. In the final round, she defeated her compatriot Xeniya Balabayeva, which allowed her to finish the competition with 7.5 points and take first place.
