16-year-old Zhanazhol Kuanishbek claimed the gold medal at the World Cadet Wrestling Championship, El.kz reports citing SportiLine.

The young athlete triumphed in the under-45 kg weight category. In a final match, he defeated his opponent from Kyrgyzstan, Nurkerim Kumarbekov, with a score of 8:7.

Zhanazhol Kuanyshbek represents the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Olympic Wrestling Training Center. His coaches are Askhat Zhanbirov and Zharkyn Tursunov (Greco-Roman)
