1.5 million people visit Kazakhstan's national parks last year

Kazakhstan in the world tourism rankings is consistently moving forward, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

"Our country occupies the highest positions in terms of such indicators as affordability, the presence of unique nature and rich cultural heritage. The state provides a whole package of incentive subsidies for business and creates favorable conditions for attracting investment in the industry.

Comprehensive steps are being taken to promote the domestic tourism potential. There is a visa-free regime for citizens of about 80 countries. But in general, the situation in the field of tourism cannot be called satisfactory, especially in comparison with neighboring countries in the region," the President said during a meeting with the public of Almaty region.

He called the region the flagship of the tourism industry in our country, the main competitive advantage of which is the rich diversity of the nature of the region.

The President is confident that the increase in the tourist potential of the region contributes to the holding of such international competitions as the Tengri Ultra marathon in the Tanbaly Tas tract and the Oceanman swim on the Kapchagay reservoir.
