100th Anniversary of Kemel Tokayev was solemnly celebrated in Sofia
At the National Library named after «St. Cyril and Methodius», the Union of Bulgarian Journalists held a solemn event dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the prominent writer, founder of the detective genre in Kazakh literature, playwright and public figure Kemel Tokayev, El.kz cites MFA.
The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, Parliament, socio-political circles and creative intellectuals, including former President Petar Stoyanov, Vice President Margarita Popova, Prosecutor General Boris Velchev and others.
The participants got acquainted with the chronicle of the life and work of Kemel Tokayev, and also shared their views on the importance of further rapprochement of peoples through cultural interaction.
During the event, the book of the Head of our state «The Word about the Father», translated into Bulgarian, was also presented.
