ALMATY – House of Friendship in Almaty hosted "Elin suigen Elbasy" meeting dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with participation of Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
The event was also attended by veterans, members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, leaders and activists of national ethno-cultural associations, deputies of the maslikhat of Almaty, representatives of the scientific and creative intelligentsia, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, faculty and students of universities in Almaty and young people.
In the course of a live dialogue-discussion the participants told about personal meetings with the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The main purpose of the event was to further strengthen the large-scale historical role of the Leader of the nation in the construction of the Kazakhstani statehood, to recognize the achievements of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to preserve peace and social harmony in the country, to educate young people in civil and patriotic and spiritual values.
Guests and participants were presented with a documentary, photo and book exhibition entitled "Elin suigen Elbasy". Along with it, the demonstration of documentary and feature films about the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized.
"The history of independent Kazakhstan is inextricably linked to the name of Elbasy. He is the founder of the new Kazakhstan. Thanks to the First President, the country has achieved great success. Strong economy, social state, stable political system, interethnic harmony, high level of Kazakhstan in the international arena - all this is directly connected with the results of painstaking work of Elbasy. All of this indicates a bright and bright future for Kazakhstan," said Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
Kazakhstan has become a dialogue platform for more than 100 ethnic minors and 17 faiths. The country was the first country in the world to give up nuclear weapons and to close down its nuclear test site. The new capital of Kazakhstan was also built in the years of independence.
"Kazakhstan's international prestige has grown. This is the result of the consistent policy of Elbasy and such major international initiatives as the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Conference on Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the World Kurultai of Kazakhs and others," said Zhanseit. Tuimebayev.
In 1994, Elbasy proposed the idea of creating a Eurasian Union for the first time. With the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union since 2015, we have a large established regional trade and economic bloc.
"I had to be close to Elbasy for a long time, and I know how many crucial decisions for the development of the country were made by him. They say a politician is thinking about the next elections, and a statesman about the next generation. Nursultan Nazarbayev is a statesman with a capital letter," Tuimebayev said.
One of the most important results of Elbasy’s policy was a high level of inter-ethnic harmony. "Kazakhstan has developed its own formula of unity and trust. It is rightly called the model of Nursultan Nazarbayev. National policy was based on the principles of harmony, social stability, the rule of law and active integration. The main law begins with the words "We, the people of Kazakhstan", which initially laid the foundation for the idea of a community of all citizens of the country. At the same time, we do not apply the concept of national minorities. We are all one people of Kazakhstan.
The core of the national policy is the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, established on the initiative of Elbasy in 1995. In his State of the Nation Address "Constructive public dialogue is the basis of stability and prosperity of Kazakhstan", the President noted the need to take concrete measures to further strengthen unity. The principle of "Unity of the nation in its diversity" remains our reference point in this matter. Next year Kazakhstan will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. This is a certain milestone, which should contribute to the further improvement of our model of consent, to the enhancement of the role and authority of the Assembly in society. We will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the adoption of our Constitution. As noted by Elbasy, these are important and significant dates for us, and we must understand and show everyone what we have come to this new frontier," Tuimebayev said.
At the end of the event, the participants of the dialogue-discussion were presented with letters of gratitude from the Assembly.
