In Almaty, the winners and prize-winners of the VIII WorldSkills Kazakhstan-2023 Republican Championship from the team of the city team were congratulated, El.kz reports with reference to the akimat of the metropolis.
The Akimat of Almaty awarded 9 college students with cash prizes from 100 to 200 thousand tenge for high results in various competencies. The children competed in such areas as construction, welding, electronics, robotics and much more.
The Almaty national team won 4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals, taking 2nd place among 20 regions at the WorldSkills Kazakhstan-2023 championship.
The best were students of the Almaty Construction and Technical College, the Almaty State Polytechnic College and the Central Asian Technical and Economic College.
The winners will go through the qualifying round to participate in the WorldSkills international championship in the French city of Lyon in 2024.
This year, with the support of the Akimat of Almaty, 200 people underwent international internships in various countries, gaining new practical skills within the framework of WorldSkills international standards.
